On Monday, May 12th, the price to mail a first class letter will raise a penny to 42 cents. If you have have Forever stamps you won’t have to worry about anything since they are not affected by price increases. It has been reported that 6 billion Forever stamps have been purchased since they went on sale in April 2007. You can still buy the Forever stamps at $0.41 up until Sunday night. If you’re like me you still have 41 cent stamps and will need to buy 1 cent stamps. There are some mail service stores that are giving away free 1 cent stamps. Here are two places giving them away and you can check your local location for participation. Annex Brand shipping stores in San Mateo County, and Incline’s Pak Mail office. |
